 Flourishing Religious Center of Nei-men Township
Owning more than 300 years of history, Zhi-jhu Temple went through five renovations to become the grand scale it has today. Festivals take three times a year at the temple, attracting a multitude of pilgrimage. More than 40 eye-catching folk arrays perform Wen Array to entertain the divinities and spectators. Song Jiang Battle Array, which originated from Water Margin, includes extremely swift and energetic moves that are famous throughout the country. Along with Qia Drum Array, Cow Plowing Array, Ci-siang Array, Peach Blossom Takes the Ferry, nanguan, beiguan, Taiping Songs, dragon dance, lion dance and martial arts performance, festivals are filled with crowds enjoying the carnival ambiance. Zhi-jhu Temple has thereby become the religious center of Nei-men Township and an important temple for all religious men and women to come and worship. |
